Association of Pastoral Ministers of Care (APMC)
'For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, a stranger and you welcomed me,
naked and you clothed me, ill and you cared for me, in prison and you visited me.' - Matthew 25:34-36

The purpose of the Association of Pastoral Ministers of Care of the Diocese of Phoenix is to
provide for the exchange of ideas, mutual support, professional development and
spiritual enrichment of Pastoral Care Leaders.
Who we are:
The Association of Pastoral Ministers of Care is an organization of dedicated
leaders in the area of Pastoral Care who, in partnership with the Department
of Family Catechesis, seek to advance the mission of the Church to care for
the ill and homebound of our parishes.
Through formation, fellowship, and opportunities for enrichment and study
members of APMC are better prepared to train volunteers and organize for the
eucharistic and pastoral care of the sick and homebound.
What we do:
The Association of Pastoral Ministers of Care works closely with the
Department of Family Catechesis & KINO Institute to develop and implement
services for Pastoral Care Leaders who "make up an essential part of the
catechetical and service mission of the Church."

“When the Church cares for the sick, it serves Christ himself in the suffering members of his Mystical Body…the Church shows this solicitude not only by visiting those who are in poor health but also by raising them up through the sacrament of anointing and by nourishing them with the Eucharist during their illness and when in danger of death”
